Fix Data Help
The SPC for Excel software has 5 routines to help fix your data. To access these routines, go to the Utilities panel on the SPC for Excel menu and select “Fix Data”. The input form below is shown.
- Data Range: this is the range you want to apply the fix data routine to; the default is the range you selected on the spreadsheet before selection Fix Data in the SPC for Excel menu.
- Options: Select one of the following options:
- Remove Blank Columns
- Remove Blank Rows
- Remove Blank Cells
- Remove Non-Numeric Cells
- Convert Non-Numeric Cells to Numeric Data
The last option is “Copy Data to New Worksheet Before Repair.” IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU USE THIS OPTION IN CASE THE REPAIR IS NOT DONE THE WAY YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD BE DONE.
Selecting OK will run the fix data routine selected. Selecting Cancel will end the program.
